Brunel Bridging awarded NACFB Assurance certificate

Our sister firm, Brunel Bridging, has just been awarded the NACFB Assurance certificate by the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers, the UK’s largest trade body for commercial finance brokers.

What does NACFB Assurance actually mean — and why we’re proud Brunel Bridging now carries it

When we launched Brunel Bridging in 2023, we set out to do for short-term and specialist property finance what we’ve spent twenty years doing under Mortgage Style; giving clients straightforward, expert advice from a firm that takes its responsibilities seriously.

Last month, that approach was independently recognised. Brunel Bridging has been awarded the NACFB Assurance certificate.

What is the NACFB?

The National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers is the UK’s largest broker-led trade body for commercial finance. Its members arrange billions of pounds of lending each year for SMEs, property developers, and investors. The NACFB is widely recognised across the industry as a guiding light for how firms should operate.

What is the Assurance Consultation?

The Assurance Consultation is the NACFB’s independent review process. It’s not a tick-box exercise and it’s not something a firm can self-certify. A member of the NACFB compliance team conducts a wide-ranging review covering FCA requirements, the firm’s internal documentation and policies, complaints handling over the previous twelve months, training programmes, fraud and ID-verification protections, the use of introducers, and even regulatory statements on the firm’s website.

In the NACFB’s own words, the certificate verifies that a firm’s processes, business integrity, and regulatory adherence have been properly assessed. It is, as the trade body puts it, a hallmark, not a badge.

Why does this matter for clients?

Bridging and development finance is a fast-moving, often high-value market. Clients are typically working to tight deadlines: an auction completion, a chain that’s about to collapse, a development site that needs to move from acquisition to first drawdown without delay. Getting the finance right is important but so is choosing the right broker.

NACFB Assurance gives clients independent confirmation that the broker advising them has been scrutinised by the trade body. Not by the firm’s own marketing team.

The wider picture

Brunel Bridging is the sister firm to Mortgage Style. We’ve always taken compliance, process, and client care seriously, it’s what’s allowed us to grow. Earning NACFB Assurance for Brunel Bridging says that the same standards we hold on the residential side are shared by our specialist team. Same group. Same standards.
